We run a standard background and credit check through Apartments.com. Generally we look for verifiable income of about 3× the monthly rent, a satisfactory rental/credit history, and valid ID. (Update this to match your actual screening policy.)
Rent is paid securely online through the Apartments.com tenant portal, where you can also set up automatic monthly payments. No checks to mail or drop off.
